There is enough food to feed the world's 7 billion people, and yet more than 3 million children die of under-nutrition every year.

As part of the global #RecipeForDisaster campaign, you are invited to a panel discussion about how every one of us can be a leader in minimizing food waste and bringing the world closer to zero hunger. Supported by Mindr and the United Nations World Food Programme, the panel will include celebrity Chef and Neapolitan pizza expert Pasquale Cozzolino, WFP External Relations Officer Shannon Howard, and special guests. We'll be dining on Chef Cozzolino's #RecipeForDisaster pizza and Toast beer brewed sustainably from unused bread. Babies and children of all ages are welcome.

In the lead-up to the event, we invite you to share your own #RecipeForDisaster. Here's how:

  1. Open your fridge
  2. Find an item you might have thrown away
  3. Turn it into something delicious
  4. Share the recipe on Instagram using #RecipeForDisaster, tagging @mindrnyc and @wfpusa, and nominate two friends to participate

You'll not only be educating others about food waste, you'll also go into the running to win a double event pass!
